During July 2017, the city surveyed 310 permits, an increase of 59 over July 2016. This brought the city $483,732 in fees. Permits were issued for 24 new residential and 3 commercial buildings. Four demolition permits were issued. Electrical permits (55), mechanical (46), and plumbing (39) accounted for the highest number by category.
The year-to-date permit total is 2,342, compared to 2,058 for the comparable period last year with new commercial and residential construction permits up 43 from 80 at this time in 2016.
