I am Ray Matz – a husband, father and business owner. I have had the great privilege to work with, communicate with, interview with, and counsel with a number of different fathers and role models. I appreciate hearing all the diverse stories and life situations these men share, and my goal is to genuinely relate, inspire, and encourage them to be the best fathers and role models they can be. I currently facilitate several men’s mastermind groups, I produce my own podcast/radio show, and I am in the process of publishing my first book. Now, I would like to bring Game Changing Dads to the local community, especially within the local school systems!
Here at Game Changing Dads, we are excited to start a new school program called Game Changing Dads Donut Day. This event will be an opportunity for men to get together every other month and have a chance to spend time with their kid(s), as well as forge new friendships with other dads and role models. It is an opportunity to sit back and relax, have a delicious donut (or two, or…) with your child, and learn how fathers and other male role models can team up together to be better family leaders and mentors.
In the school environment, your child is connecting with new people and building new relationships, which may have positive and/or negative impressions on their lives. It is time for us fathers/role models/leaders to make it a priority to be a part of our children’s relationships outside the family unit. As fathers and role models, we don’t always have time to sit down and have conversations with the men in our schools. As a father of three (10, 7, and 4), I know how important it is for me to connect with other fathers and understand that we are in this together. Learning from the examples around you and possibly getting feedback on a situation or problem you may have, will only make you a stronger leader and better role model for your children.
So, besides fathers, who can participate in the Game Changing Dads Donut Day? We are looking for grandfathers, coaches, cousins, brothers, etc., or someone who plays a mentoring role in a child’s life. Gentleman, you “DO-NUT” want to miss this opportunity to spend some quality time with your children and hopefully build some new relationships along the way!
