Candidate Pelican informed us she would try to attend but she had an appointment in Jacksonville. We thank her for making an attempt.
Nassau County Commission Candidate Tim Peak responded to our phone call in June, but unfortunately the message was not received until hours before the Town Hall Meeting. Our apologies! We immediately reached out to Mr. Peak to ask him to join the Town Hall meeting via email and numerous phone calls but were unsuccessful contacting him.

Candidates for Nassau County Board of Commission Dist 5
Nassau County Commission District 5 Candidate Klynt A. Farmer declined our invitation to participate and Joe Zimmerman had a scheduling conflict.
Much to be learned about the priorities of a candidate for public office by one’s “schedule conflicts”.
Much can be learned about the Priorities of a candidates for public office by ones ” scheduling conflicts ” I happen to like the fact that those missing must have felt whatever conflict they had, out weighted the need to attend. I am sure all those missing would have wanted to be at the meeting. They had to make a personal choice with respect to possible family issues or work issues that prevented this to happen. This shows me that they can make tough and unpopular decisions even knowing the potential feedback they are going to get. I respect these candidates for being able to do just that, It takes courage and character.
Two sides of the same coin. To borrow a quote from Robert Reich, “What do you think?”
