Teens to present “Bye Bye Birdie” at Amelia Musical Playhouse

Over 30 teens from Nassau County, Jacksonville, and Georgia will take the stage next week for their run of Bye Bye Birdie, the iconic 1960’s musical about a teen heartthrob who is drafted. The musical was first produced on Broadway and was then made into a movie, then Boradway revivals, and then a TV special.

Our fAMPily Teens will perform the students version of this Tams Witmark Production by Charles Strause. Directed and choreographed by Sophia Rose Loveday, with costumes by Tammy Lynch, and live music, these talented actors will sing and dance to “One Last Kiss,” Telephone Hour,” “One Boy,” “Put on a Happy Face,” and many more. Show dates are August 2,3,4 at 7:30 pm, and August 6 at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students.
