According to Deputy Police Chief Mark K. Foxworth, a recent autopsy confirmed drowning as the cause of death of Fernandina Beach resident Dianne E. Hardenbergh age 51. The police determined no foul play was involved.
A previous press release issued by the police department, reported that “On May 23, 2014 at approximately 9:45pm members of the Fernandina Beach Police Department and the Fernandina Beach Fire/Rescue responded to reports of a swimmer in distress on the north end of Fernandina Beach.”
