New business & building report: April 2017

The Fernandina Observer welcomes the following businesses newly licensed – or relicensed — to operate in our city last month:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During April 2017, the city surveyed 311 permits, a decrease of 48 over April 2016. This brought the city $184,739 in fees. Permits were issued for 12 new residential buildings and one commercial building. Five demolition permits were issued. Plumbing (52), mechanical (49) and electrical permits (49) accounted for the highest number by category.

The year-to-date permit total is 1,290: 56 more than for the comparable period last year with new commercial and residential construction permits up 10 from 48 at this time in 2016.
