The Fernandina Beach Branch Library has another reason to love your local library; we are celebrating National Passport Awareness Day! The Fernandina Beach Branch Library will have extended hours for passport application processing on Saturday, March 16th, from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm. Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome!

For adults we can process first time applications, and renewals for passports if issued over 15 years ago. For minors under 15 and under we process first time AND ALL renewals. We process all applications for those 16 & 17 years old as well. Has your passport been lost or stolen? Did you have a name change? We can do these also. Don’t forget, now you can get a passport card in addition to the book!

Getting your passport is easy and can be done quickly, if you are prepared! You will need to bring three items 1) evidence of your identification such as your FL driver’s license; 2) evidence of your citizenship, typically your birth certificate. The birth certificate must be the original or a certified copy and 3) two checks for payment. We are happy to take the photographs for you! The photo fee is $10. We have all forms available at the library, stop in before-hand to pick up yours.

Please check the library’s website for details www.nassaureads.com; or visit travel.state.gov. Call 904-530-6500 Opt. 2 for appointments, or you can email us at [email protected]. Refreshments provided by Friends of the Fernandina Beach Branch Library.
