Coalition for Homeless seeks nominations for Ele Colborn Volunteer of the Year Award

Nassau County Coalition for homeless

The Coalition for the Homeless of Nassau County is accepting nominations
for the  “Annual Ele Colborn Volunteer of the Year Award.” Ele was a long-time community activist and the founder of the Coalition. We think it is fitting to honor her memory with a yearly award to an outstanding Coalition volunteer who has worked during the year to further the goals of the organization.

Award*

The person you nominate must have:

– Made a significant contribution to one or more Coalition
activities/projects in 2015. These activities/projects could be the
annual homeless count, The Day Drop-in Center, or Gracie’s kitchen, for
example.

– Made a significant contribution to addressing the needs of people
experiencing homelessness and those at risk of experiencing homelessness in
the county

*Members of the Board of Directors of the Coalition are not eligible for
this award.*

Please submit no more than 100 words explaining why you think the person
you are nominating is worthy of this award. *The deadline for nominations
is December 14, 2015 and the award will be given out at the annual
Coalition membership meeting on December 17, 2015.*
