V Pizza: Classic and Innovative

By Dylan Bailey

Mac Attack pizza.

When it comes to pizza, everyone has their preferences. Thin crust or thick, spicy or sweet, loaded or plain – there’s a pizza style for every palate. But while pizza is around every corner, few can claim to bring the authentic taste of Naples to your plate. One that does, and does it well, is V Pizza.

V Pizza’s location near the serene beach makes it a convenient and popular stop for tourists and locals alike. The establishment exudes a warm, inviting vibe, thanks to its quaint exterior and cozy interior.

Inside, you’ll find a chic modern decor that’s both comfortable and stylish. The wooden tables, black chairs, and white rafters give it a sleek yet homey feel. The highlight is the open kitchen, where you can see the pizza artists at work, crafting food with finesse.

V Pizza stands out for more than just its food. It’s a vibrant community hub that regularly hosts events like karaoke Mondays and music trivia Thursdays. It’s not uncommon to find a lively crowd here, bonding over gooey slices of pizza and engaging in friendly competition. The atmosphere is always buzzing, making it a great spot to socialize and have fun.

At V Pizza, the pizza-making process is nothing short of an art. The rustic pizza ovens add an authentic touch to the pizzas. Fueled by wood fire, the clay brick oven imparts a distinct flavor to the pizzas that’s hard to replicate.

The pizzas here might not have the uniform look of chain-store pizzas. Instead, they bear the mark of handcrafted goodness, with a slightly charred crust that lends a smoky flavor. Some might find the crust a bit too crispy or the center a little soggy, but it’s all part of the V Pizza experience.

The menu at V Pizza is a delightful mix of classic and innovative offerings. The star of the show is, of course, the pizzas. The Pepperoni Rustica, a simple yet flavorful pizza, is a must-try. With San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and a sprinkle of pecorino romano and oregano – it’s bursting with flavor in every bite.

For the adventurous, the Mac-Attack is a quirky blend of macaroni and cheese, pancetta, homemade cheese sauce, and a mix of cheddar and gouda. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s worth a try for its unique taste.

The menu doesn’t stop at pizzas, though. The Caprese sandwich, with its fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, and a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze, is a refreshing option.

And if you’re in the mood for wings, you won’t be disappointed. The Cryin’ Hawaiian wings, with their sticky, sweet-spicy marinade, are a hit.

No meal is complete without a sweet ending, and V Pizza understands this. The Limoncello and ricotta cake is a perfect way to wrap up your meal. Light, moist, and flavorful, it’s a dessert that left me satisfied without feeling weighed down.

V Pizza may not be the only pizza place in town, but it has carved a niche. With its commitment to authenticity, community spirit, and a diverse menu, it offers an experience that’s hard to forget. So whether you’re a pizza aficionado or a casual fan, V Pizza is worth a visit. Just remember to come with an open mind, a hearty appetite, and a readiness to be slightly surprised.

Thanks for the colorful introduction. I think we have driven by V Pizza hundreds of times but thought it was more of a generic type restaurant. We will definitely give it a try. Looking forward to the San Marzano sauce, Caprese sandwich and those Cryin’ Hawaiian Wings.
