Tasty’s Fresh Burgers: Where Smash Burgers Steal the Show

By Dylan Bailey

Tasty’s Fresh Burgers is a well-established restaurant that has been serving delicious meals to its customers since 2011. Starting in Fernandina Beach, it has branched out to Yulee, Wildlight, and even Kingsland, Georgia.

Tasty’s Fresh Burgers is renowned for its smash burgers. These are sizeable, bursting with flavor, and most importantly, they live up to the restaurant’s name – they are really tasty! If burgers are your preference, Tasty’s won’t disappoint you.

My favorite burger, the BCR (bacon, cheddar, and ranch), always hits the spot. However, the Sunrise Burger comes highly recommended too. This burger is topped with a fried egg, cheddar cheese, and crispy bacon sandwiched between a potato bun. It’s a breakfast in a bun and offers a delightful medley of flavors.

I wanted to try something different, so I got the Slaw Dog. Priced at only $3.99, this hotdog comes with a heap of cold, crunchy coleslaw. The coleslaw provides a beautiful contrast in temperature and texture, making it a refreshing and satisfying choice.

Next up was the spicy chicken sandwich. A crispy chicken patty with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, grilled onions, and chipotle aioli are all held together by a potato bun. The overall heat from the jalapenos and pepper jack cheese added a unique kick to the sandwich. If you like spice, you’ll love this.

The star of the menu was the Tasty Melt. Priced at $8.49, it features a burger served on toasted Martin’s potato bread with griddled onions, provolone cheese, and homemade sauce. The potato bread is lavishly buttered and toasted beautifully. The provolone cheese and onions add depth to the flavors, and the homemade sauce ties them together. I absolutely would get this any day of the week.

The onion rings, priced at $5.99, are a great side option. They are crispy, salty, and flavorful. It is a little heavier on the batter than the onion, which some people prefer. But dipping them into the accompanying sauce was hands down the way to go.

The fried pickles, priced at $6.99, are another side option worth trying. They are salty and crispy, and the vinegar flavor from the pickles is very prevalent. Dipping them in the house-made ranch made an already delicious side even better.

Tasty’s Fresh Burgers offers a great dining experience at reasonable prices. The quality of the food is impressive, and the variety offered is commendable. Their community involvement, such as offering free meals for kids 10 and under every Tuesday from 5 p.m. to closing time, is wonderful gift.
