Having a book published is a dream of many, yet the process can be daunting. If you are interested in the publishing process, curious about independent publishing versus getting your book accepted by an agent and publisher, and want to learn about the options available to you, Story & Song Center for Arts & Culture will host a workshop to explore the business of publishing Saturday, Oct. 19 from 2-4 p.m.

The “From Author to Writer” workshop will focus on the business aspects of publishing, including book design and production, fees, pricing, distribution, and promotion. Special guests include local authors Robin Pullen and Dickie Anderson and book production specialist Caroline Blochlinger from CB Advertising. Sample books by local authors will be on display with printing specs and pricing.

The workshop registration fee is $95.
