Amelia Island Opera and Amelia Community Theatre present two evenings of spirited and exhilarating music with “A Night at the Opera” on October 27 and 28 at the theatre, 207 Cedar St.
There will be a pre-show reception at 6:30 p.m. that includes sparkling wine and cider and passed hors d’oeuvres. The concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., featuring popular opera and musical theatre selections sung by six talented artists – Robyn Marie Lamp, Sara Lucille Law, Victoria Isernia, Ann Quintero, Devin Eatmon, and John Tibbets. The concert program will include songs from the stage shows “Les Misérables,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “The Pirates of Penzance,” and “My Fair Lady,” and from the operas “Carmen,” “La bohème,” and “Rigoletto,” among others.
Desserts will be served at intermission, and guests are invited to dress for the occasion and immerse themselves in the magic that live opera can create. Black tie is optional.
