Editor’s Note: These photos show an empty Centre Street Fernandina. Very few of the stores were boarded up. There was a strong wind, not because of Hurricane Matthew, but because of a lingering northeaster.

By the time Hurricane Matthew rolls through our area, the view  of the Fernandina Harbor Marina will be quite different.

Good pix, Susan. A rare opportunity to see an empty downtown as well as hopefully not a prelude to a much different scene in 48 hours.
