Fernandina Beach City Manager Dale L. Martin has announced that following an extensive search, he has selected Stephanie A. Morgan to be the new Airport Manager at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport (FHB).

Mrs. Morgan has accrued over 18 years of experience throughout her career in positions with an airline at the St. Louis Lambert Airport and the Kansas City International Airport as Planning Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Reservations Supervisor. She previously served in other key positions, including operations and marketing, at the Jacksonville Aviation Authority.

She is a proud veteran and pilot with instrument rating.

“I am honored and excited to be named the new Airport Manager of Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport,” said Morgan. “I look forward to working with key stakeholders to make the airport an integral part of the area and to grow its presence and contribution to the economic vitality of the community and the region.”

Morgan’s starting salary is $65,000, and she is scheduled to begin her work with the city on August 15.

City Manager Martin revealed that the Selection Committee, consisting of other City staff and a representative of the Airport Advisory Commission, collectively scored Morgan as the top candidate. He indicated that she stood above the other 15 candidates due to her marketing, branding and economic development experience.

Martin said, “I expect her to complement the quality of other City of Fernandina Beach department directors. The pride and passion of Mr. Robert Kozakoff, Airport Operations Manager, at the airport will be the standard for Ms. Morgan to match, but I have no doubt that the two of them will serve the airport and the community interests with great enthusiasm.”

Stephanie Morgan attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology at St. Louis University.
