State Representative Adkins to Hold Community Meeting July 20

State Representative Janet Adkins will be hosting a community meeting on Monday, July 20 at the Callahan County Building on Mickler Street, Callahan. The meeting will be an opportunity for members in the community to meet with representatives from the Florida Department of Transportation to discuss construction along US Highway 301.

“My office has received emails and calls from constituents voicing concerns about the construction on US Highway 301. This meeting with Florida DOT is an opportunity for DOT to hear the concerns of the constituents and work towards a favorable resolution for the community,” stated Representative Adkins.

Joining Representative Adkins will be Florida DOT Transportation Support Manager, Jordan L. Green, PE, along with others from DOT representing the design and construction areas of the project. The meeting will be Monday, July 20 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the Callahan Community, 45401 Mickler Street, Callahan, 32011.

This meeting is open to the public. In the interest of time, those that wish to speak at the meeting should contact Representative Adkins office at 904-491-3664 prior to close of business on Thursday, July 16.

Representative Adkins represents House District 11, which includes all of Nassau County and portions of Duval County. In the Florida House of Representatives, she chairs the K-12 Subcommittee on Education and is member of the Education Committee, the Choice and Innovation Subcommittee, the Educations Appropriations Committee and the Rules, Calendar and Ethics Committee.
