Sober Curious: A Local Movement

MEDIA RELEASE
February 7, 2020

According to a Nielsen study, nearly 50 percent of all U.S. adults are making an effort to limit their alcohol consumption, with that number rising to 66 percent for millennials only.

The sober curious movement, a trending lifestyle change to cut out alcohol long-term, has influenced the rise of sober bars and craft mocktails nationwide and now in Jacksonville. From the launch of SipCozy rosé to the opening of Jacksonville’s first non-alcoholic bar Wildcrafters to curated mocktail pop-ups across the city, locals and visitors can now easily find a healthier high in drying out.

Founded by local entrepreneur Alex Klempf, SipCozy is one of the world’s first alcohol-removed, hemp-infused rosé wines. Its functional ingredients allow consumers to embrace better-for-you practices by combining the relaxation and potential wellness benefits of cannabis without the psychoactive effects of THC or negative post-consumption effects of alcohol. It is currently sold online direct-to-consumer and at Cowford Chophouse and Congaree and Penn.
