On Thursday, July 7, 2016, at approximately 2:30 pm, a 2012 Ford Fusion was traveling northbound on Owens Road in the Nassauville area in Nassau County.
The driver (18 year old male from Fernandina Beach) observed an older red car traveling behind him and then heard a pop and the back window shattered. Apparently a bullet came through the back window and struck the right front passenger (18 year old male from Yulee) in the back.
The driver of the Ford Fusion then drove to Baptist Nassau Hospital in Fernandina Beach to get his passenger medical care, who was treated and released. The older red car was last seen around Mobley Heights and Old Nassauville Road.
