We have just been informed that “Sacred Waters: The Okefenokee In Peril” has been chosen as a finalist in the Beaufort International Film Festival. Our congratulations to filmmaker Mark Albertin and writer Alex Kearns. And we extend our sincere gratitude to The National Parks Conservation Association (an Alliance member) for so generously providing funding for the project. It is our hope that this documentary will inspire viewers to explore, cherish, and protect the Okefenokee Swamp.

I am glad to hear that information about the Okefenokee’s peril is getting out there more. We’ve known for decades with the problems are, we just need to elect leaders, such as Democrats, who are willing to take on the big corporations to save that beautiful area.
