The dictionaries have arrived! The Rotary Club of Fernandina Beach provides a dictionary to every third grader in Nassau County each year in October. Club Community Service Chair John Howard and Club members Dennie Pendergrass and Pierre Guite (pictured, L-R), along with Tom Flournoy, and President Ron Heymann divided up a pallet of dictionaries for distribution on Monday, Sept 18. The books will be personally delivered by Club members to third-grade classrooms from Fernandina Beach to Bryceville and beyond. The Club makes an annual commitment to deliver a dictionary to every third grade student in Nassau County regardless of public or private schooling as part of the Club’s commitment to education.
