Awards were presented in six categories based upon the size of the organization. Rayonier Advanced Materials won in the category of national companies with up to 500 employees. Winners in the six categories were selected from among 28 award finalists; 120 manufacturers were nominated. The Florida Sterling Council and FloridaMakes collaborated on these statewide awards. Companies were judged on leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, workforce and operations.

Rayonier Advanced Materials, a nearly 80 year-old facility, was honored for its spirit of innovation that has made it a global leader in highly purified softwood cellulose specialties products.

“This is a unique honor,” said CA McDonald, General Manager for Rayonier Advanced Materials’ Fernandina Beach plant. “Our plant has served the community for four generations and this award reflects our company’s enduring commitment to the spirit of innovation and business excellence. We appreciate the hard work of our employees and the support of this community, which made the award possible.”
