Rayonier Inc. donates $119,000 in grants to local organizations

Rayonier Inc. announced the award of more than $119, 000 to area organizations. Recipients of the company’s Community Fund grants were recently recognized at a special breakfast hosted by Rayonier.

The Rayonier Community Fund supports a variety of educational, civic, cultural, and natural resources programs. “Rayonier is proud to call Nassau County home now for nearly 80 years,” said Mike Bell, Vice President, Public Affairs, speaking to the Rayonier 2015 grant recipients. “We especially look forward to this gathering each year when we get to thank you, your staff and volunteers for your important work that helps make Nassau County such a great place to live and work.”

Rayonier representatives, along with a number of Nassau County Commissioners, Constitutional Officers and School District Officials were present to congratulate and thank those receiving grants.

The following organizations received support from Rayonier as part of its
2015 Community Fund program:

– Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County Foundation
– Community Hospice of Northeast Florida
– Family Support Services
– Fernandina Beach Police Foundation
– Florida Agricultural Museum
– Florida Forestry Foundation Teachers’ Tour
– Florida State College at Jacksonville Foundation – Endowed Scholarship
– Nassau County 4-H
– Nassau County Council on Aging
– Nassau County School District – Workforce Development
– Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Charities
– Nassau County Volunteer Center
– Take Stock in Children of Nassau County
– The Nassau Education Foundation
– Town of Hilliard Timberfest
– University of Florida Project Learning Tree
