TIM, CONGRATULATION. We the community are the BIG WINNERS. Lets go to work.
Winning by 8 points is substantial and a statement. Losers will point to turnout to try and diminish the meaning of this result. The message is clear, the Tea Party lost big again tonight.
you are an idiot Mike
Great day for FB! 2 down, 1 to go and a constitutional officer is going also!
Thank you so much for sharing the results so fast!!!!!!!!
This result, along with last month’s election outcome make The City of Fernandina Beach the big winner. Congratulations to both Tim and Robin and all the people that had the foresight to vote for them. After 3 years of zero leadership, we now have a potentially functional Commission that can tackle the important issues in the City.
Congrats Tim Poynter…..hard work paid off! A breath of reason on the way.
Couldn’t be happier!!! Congratulations to Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island. The work has just begun… But the quest has gotten easier!!! This is, and will continue to be, the best place to live in the country. We now have a Commisuon who understands that this is a community that thrives on “Tourisim, Retirees and Working Industry”…. Only to mention a few!!!!
Congratulations to our community!!!
New and Standing Commisioners… You have constituents who are here to help. We look forward to new tomorrow!!!!
It’s over, Congratulations not only to Tim, but to Teresa and all the people behind the scenes who worked so hard to get this done. Lets hope now that all on the Commission can move Forward and get the work of the City back on track. Win or loose both Tim and Charlie put a lot of effort into this and should be recognized for that time an effort.
This is exactly what Fernandina needed….people who really care about the place we call home and FINALLY some true leadership!
Congratulations Tim and also Robin!
Now the real fun begins. Let’s see how much he really cares about fernandina when he’s in and pushing for “unexpected” changes. Money talks all else walks.
So true Stumpjumper! Congratulations Tim! Time to move forward!!!
Congratulations to Tim & Robin!! Let’s move forward & get the city back on track…..
I join all in the applause – for Tim, our Community, and the Fernandina Observer!
Like a hangover, there will be plenty of time for buyer’s remorse later
Congratulations to Tim and Robin for winning the recent elections! It’s time for good, intelligent, common sense, leadership. Let’s move forward, with positive attitudes and a willingness to work together for the benefit of our community. Let’s leave “hangover and byers remorse” language in the past. How does that affect good decision making for Fernandina? Jim and I say “Thanks Tim and Robin for believing in Fernandina enough to be willing to jump in and do the hard work that this job requires.”
Andy, I like that.—–I did however have an uncle once tell me ” he felt sorry for those who didn’t drink—-when they wake up in the morning that’s as good as they are going to feel all day”—-As with any election, it’s over and we need to move on. Should Tim, or Robin, or any of the others we have elected fail to hold up to our standards, we can just do what we do every November, ( or Dec ) vote them out. Lets keep ALL our voices heard during this commission. Tim or Robin weren’t elected to please only those who voted for them. Their job is to convince those who didn’t vote for them that they made a mistake. More than ever it is important for all to communicate with all the commissioners to express as many opinions as possible so they can make better choices for the good of the City
