Join us for an opportunity to see beautiful art by local adult and student artists at the opening reception of Friends of the Library’s second rotating art exhibit on Saturday, May 21, from 10 am to 12 noon. Refreshments will be served.
“Summer” is the theme for the art show which will be on exhibit in the Library’s Community Room and the Children’s Room, May 4 through August 31, 2016. All adult artwork is for sale. At least a ten percent donation, as designated by the artist, to the Friends of the Library is part of the sale price. The Community is invited to visit the Library to view the art and make a purchase to support the artists and the Library.
Artwork was accepted from over 20 adult artists and also students from St. Michael’s, Montessori School and home-schooled students. The artwork includes oil, watercolor, pen and ink, mixed media, photography and acrylics.
Friends of the Library invites all to visit the Library located at 25 North 4th Street in downtown Fernandina Beach or FOL’s website at www.fernandinafol.org for further announcements of upcoming events and activities. Dee Torre, President of FOL, encourages everyone’s membership in FOL to help support the Library.
