Open House Public Meeting Amelia Island Pedestrian and Bicycle Focus Area Study

The North Florida TPO is conducting the Amelia Island Pedestrian and Bicycle Focus Area Study to develop a network of bicycling and walking routes and a wayfinding system in Amelia Island, connecting people to important community destinations.

An open house public meeting is scheduled Monday, June 13 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers, 204 Ash Street, Fernandina Beach for the public to review plans and provide input.

The North Florida TPO is the independent regional transportation planning agency for Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties. The agency leads our region’s efforts in planning, funding and mobilizing resources to develop and maintain our transportation system. Plans and programs include the regional Long Range Transportation Plan; five-year Transportation Improvement Program; annual traffic count and mobility reports; coalitions for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Clean Fuels; freight mobility; Cool to Pool commuter services car and vanpool program; public private partnerships; and global trade and transportation.
