October 2016 Building Report for Fernandina Beach

For the second month in a row, no new businesses opened in Fernandina Beach.

During October 2016, the city surveyed 280 permits, compared with 273 surveyed during October 2015. This activity brought the city $137,170 in fees. Permits were issued for 10 new buildings, one commercial and 9 residential. In July 2015, 8 permits were issued for one new commercial and 7 new residential buildings.

Building permits for the first 10 months of 2016 are running ahead of last year, 2,971 to 2,530.
