Work began today on a North Front Street drain that according to Street and Parks Maintenance Director Rex Lester, may have been paved over years ago during a project to raise the street grade. The drain rehabilitation, will stop salt water entering the area from the river, and improve drainage on North Front and Broome Streets. The project is expected to be completed by Wednesday afternoon. Resurfacing in the area will be completed at an unspecified date.
