Editor’s Note: As a landscape photographer, Lee Anne helps others reconnect with the natural world and see things in new ways. Over the past eight years, she has turned her eyes to the sea—focusing more on the way it makes her feel than simply what she sees. It is her hope that these photographs help bring others a sense of peace and well being. This image, “Anticipation,” is from her book, The Mutable Sea: Reflections on Change, which was photographed on Amelia Island.

Lee Anne lives in Cumming, GA, but owns property in Fernandina Beach and visits the island often. Her work can be found in Gallery C and The Book Loft. At the 2015 Shrimp Festival, she received the Juror’s Choice Award for Best in Photography. For more images of Amelia Island, visit www.leeannewhite.com.

A beautiful image! The muted colors and blurring capture the mood perfectly. Thanks for posting your website…..very nicely done. Love the black and white photographs.

Thanks so much for the kind words and for visiting my website, Bill. There is so much to explore on Amelia Island, and I enjoy doing so in both color and black and white. This image is just one of many series that I have been shooting over the years.
