City of Fernandina Beach Official Notice
On January 3, 2017, the City Commission approved Resolution 2017-07 amending the guidelines for sewer and refuse fee exemptions and adding provisions for storm water fee exemptions.
The eligibility requirements now are:
1. Applicant must not be gainfully employed;
2. Applicant must be a minimum age of sixty years;
3. Applicant’s adjusted annual income amount (income after reduction of medical expenses not covered by insurance) must be no more than 100% of Federal Poverty Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Guidelines for a two-person household;
4. Applicant owns no real property (or interest therein) other than personal residence.
