The Nassau County Republican Executive Committee (REC) is proud to announce that its upcoming 2018 Lincoln Day Dinner has reached maximum capacity. With one hundred sixteen tickets allocated, this is the first Lincoln Day Dinner hosted by the REC to ever sell out of all tickets available.

The 2018 Lincoln Day Dinner is the latest in annual celebration and fundraising events for the REC. The event honors President Abraham Lincoln, sixteenth President of the United States and the first from the Republican Party.

The Keynote Speaker for the 2018 Lincoln Day Dinner is The Honorable Jimmy Patronis, Chief Finan cial Officer (CFO) of the State of Florida. Confirmed participants of the 2018 Lincoln Day Dinner include Congressman John Rutherford, Florida State Senator Aaron Bean, Florida State Senator Denise Grimsley, Florida State Representative Cord Byrd, Florida State Representative Matt Caldwell, and numerous local leaders and candidates from across Nassau County and beyond.

“Although we are still days away from hosting the event, the revenue and enthusiasm for this banquet have exceeded all expectations,” said Justin Taylor, REC Chairman. “In fact, we had to add seats to accommodate demand. We are seeing about a 50% participation increase from last year’s Lincoln Day, and I think that is a direct reflection of our party’s enthusiasm leading into this year’s election cycle.”

The banquet, held April 6 at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. A cocktail hour and silent auction, featuring significant local and historical items of interest, will begin one hour prior at 6:00 PM.

The REC is a subset of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF). Members of the REC are elected officials from their voting precincts, and pursuant to state law, takes a loyalty oath to uphold the principles and rules of the RPOF. REC members, known as Precinct Captains, are the foundation of the Republican Party in Nassau County. For more information, visit www.nassaugop.com.
