Nassau County non-college bound graduates – Funding available

Scholarship funding is available for non-college bound high school graduates interested in learning a trade or skill through Florida State College of Jacksonville. According to  the Vocational Scholarship Foundation (VSF) begun by Nassau County resident Spotswood Watkins, examples of trades supported by the VSF scholarships are “Dental/Medical Assistants, Automotive/Diesel Mechanics, Biotech Agriculture, Forest Technology, Heavy Equipment Operation/ Repair, Welding, Culinary Arts, Refrigeration, Electrician, Electronics, Plumbing, Fire & Police schools and many others.”

To qualify, the recipient  must be a current resident of Nassau County and have graduated from a Nassau County School.  Information and applications can be obtained by visiting www.vocationalscholarshipfoundation.org
