Summer returns in less than a month! That’s right, join us to recapture the magic of summer nights as we celebrate the Nassau County Council on Aging 14th Annual Gala, “Summer’s End Soiree,” on Friday, October 20 from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Magnolia Ballroom.

Even in October we promise you’ll feel as if you’re at an outdoor gathering beneath a summer night sky as fireflies flicker at your table. Enjoy cocktails, wine and hors d’oeuvres while you browse the silent auction tables before sitting down to a southern-inspired dinner. Dance beneath a canopy of lights to the soulful vocals of Dan Voll and Michele Anders playing favorites like “Brown-Eyed Girl,” “Under the Boardwalk” or your own requested songs.

An amazing array of live auction items await your bid this year: A five-night stay for four at the luxurious Phillips Club at Lincoln Center in New York City, a three-stone diamond necklace specially designed to shimmer, a weekend stay for two in an ocean-front suite at the Omni, a Conservation Tour for eight at White Oak Plantation, and two bottles of 1990 Chateau La Conseillante Pomerol rated as possibly “the wine of the century” by Robert Parker.

Sponsorship packages are still available, so consider joining Baptist Health, Community Hospice and Palliative Care, Publix, Wells Fargo and more in showcasing your business to more than 200 guests. For more information about becoming a sponsor or to purchase tickets, call 904.261.0701 or visit www.nassaucountycouncilonaging.com.

All funds raised at the Gala go to support the 2,000-plus Nassau County seniors NCCOA serves.
