The Amelia Island Book Festival announces their 3rd Annual Murder Mystery Dinner in support of Authors in Schools. Mark your calendar for Fri., Oct. 20, 2017, at The Golf Club of Amelia Island for a delicious, delightful and dangerous evening with a performance of “Any Body for Tea?” This funny, fast-paced comedy thriller – directed by Kate Hart and written by C.B. Gilford – will have you in stitches.

In “Any Body for Tea?” Detective Dennis O ’ Finn investigates a death in his neighborhood and discovers he is the motive for the murder. Six sweet but slightly balmy ladies are all smitten with him, their across-the-street neighbor. To lure him to visit, they staged a homicide. But to keep him around, they must do it again!

In the tradition of mystery, there will be a guest author, whose identity will soon be revealed. Cocktails will be served starting at 6:15 p.m.; dinner begins at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person, which includes a three-course gourmet dinner, show, a mystery drink and dessert. Prizes and loads of laughter guaranteed. The 17th annual, three-day Amelia Island Book Festival, will be held Feb. 15-17, 2018, and will feature New York Times bestselling authors Lee Child, Adriana Trigiani, Karin Slaughter, Jennifer Armentrout and Sherry Rinker. Steve Berry returns as honorary chairman. Proceeds from all festival events, including the Murder Mystery Dinner, benefit the Authors in Schools Literacy Program for students of Nassau County – Connecting students, authors and books for life-long learning.
