Micahs-Place-Logo-1024x447The holidays are fast approaching. But many victims of domestic violence don’t have the luxury of providing even the simplest of items for their children.

“We think everyone deserves a Christmas and to have something they can open up on this special day,” said Heather Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Micah’s Place, “Donations of new “unwrapped” toys and gift cards are requested to stock the Micah’s Place Christmas Program and help provide Christmas to families in our shelter and outreach, who otherwise may not have one”.

As in past years, we are requesting the support of our community – from organizations, churches, clubs, and every one in between – to ensure that every child in our program receives a Merry Christmas.

Please consider purchasing a new toy or gift card between now and December 7th, and drop it, unwrapped, into one of the boxes at the following locations:

Beech Street Bar & Grill.801 Beech St, Fernandina Beach

Amelia Island Plantation Real Estate. 10 Amelia Village Circle. Fernandina Beach

Villa Villakulla Neighborhood Toy Store. 5 South 2nd Street. Fernandina Beach

Florida Farm Bureau. 463249 E SR 200. Yulee

Purple Dove Resale Center. (Next to Dick’s Wings). 474311 E SR 200. Fernandina Beach

Micah’s Place will distribute every item donated to a child in our program. Monetary donations are helpful too, and are tax deductible. Checks may be made payable to “Micah‘s Place Christmas Fund”. We could not do this important work without the amazing generosity of our neighbors.

Micah’s Place is a certified shelter, and outreach service, providing assistance to victims of domestic violence and their children in Nassau County.
