City of Fernandina Beach

The City of Fernandina Beach has contracted with Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc. to apply chip seal and micro-surfacing to the Jean Lafitte roadway and High Rigger neighborhood. The work will cause minor delays and inconveniences. During work hours, limited access to the roads will be maintained. Access to roads will be coordinated by the workers onsite and people directing traffic. During non-working hours, there will be full access to the roads being re-surfaced. THERE MAY BE SOME LOOSE AGGREGATE. PLEASE TRAVEL SLOWLY UNTIL THE FINAL COVER COURSE IS PLACED. SEVERAL WEEKS AFTER THE COVER HAS BEEN PLACED THE ROADS WILL BE SWEPT.
