Finger pointing . . . . A political cartoon

Editor’s Note: This political cartoon drawn by talented Mark Delfs, captures our feelings in the Nassau County Raydient dispute. We have struggled to write the story during the tension filled moments prior to and during the legislative session.  Even now, it is difficult to sort truth from fiction. Our hope is that all parties will come together soon, and resolve their differences for the benefit of all.

In July of 2016, Mark Delfs, his wife Julie, and teenage daughters Ariana and Alixondra, moved to Amelia Island from upstate New York on a “whim” and have been residents here ever since.

Mark is a local graphic designer and political cartoonist who’s cartoons have appeared in the University of Florida and Williams College newspapers to name a few. He is also a contributor to author Don Rittner’s ‘Naturalist at Large’ political cartoons based out of upstate New York. His wife Julie is a trained floral designer and resin epoxy artist who works and teaches art classes from the “Clay Times” studio located in the historic downtown district.
