As 2016 comes to a close, so does our 1st full year of providing FREE books to Nassau County children under 5 years old! We registered almost 300 children, 5 have since turned five and graduated out and we have raised enough funds to provide books for those children and a few more! Some of the children registered are through our partnership with the Early Learning Coalition, Episcopal Children’s Services and Head Start!

We would like to thank all the Nassau County residents and businesses, like Staples ($500), who have supported us during our first year; because of YOU we have begun to close the learning gap in Nassau County!

THANK YOU!!!

In 2017, we hope to partner with several local corporations through grant opportunities. We will begin going to day cares in Nassau County to register their children under 5 in January. Our major fundraising opportunity will focus on businesses in Nassau sponsoring one child for one year.

Do you know any children under the age of 5? Are they receiving FREE books? Request a registration form today at [email protected].

Please share our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/NassauFerstFoundation/?ref=bookmarks ) with others to get the word out about us, so we can continue to provide books to children and close the learning gaps in Nassau County!

If you would like to volunteer to help with registrations or fundraising, please email us at [email protected] or message us!
