For the 6th consecutive year, the Fernandina Observer will host a City Commission Candidate Forum at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 19, in the Fernandina Beach City Commission Chambers located at 204 Ash Street.
Larry Myers, will again serve as moderator. Myers is a former Fernandina Beach City Manager, Nassau County Administrator, and Legislative Aide to now State Senator Aaron Bean.
The forum will be taped and available for viewing live or at a later date on the City’s website. Comcast Community Channel 264 will also broadcast the forum.
In the upcoming election, candidates Philip A. Chapman III, and incumbent Timothy M. Poynter are vying for a seat in Group 2. Orlando J. Avila, Medardo Monzon, and Ronald “Chip” Ross will face each other in the Group 3 race.
