Library staff members celebrate an important milestone for the Fernandina Beach Library: it will soon open in its spacious new wing and operate there while the existing building is renovated. When the renovations are complete, the library on N 4th Street will feature new space for children and teens, computer use, local history and genealogy, a reading room, a meeting room, and other improvements. Friends of the Library which championed the project and is contributing over $400,000 for construction, is continuing it’s capital campaign to purchase new equipment, furnishings and other essential items.
