Joe Zimmerman, candidate for County Commissioner, District 5, announced this week the endorsement of Fernandina Beach Mayor Johnny Miller. “I am honored to receive the endorsement of an honorable public servant like Johnny Miller. During his time in office we worked together on various issues, and have continuing discussions on decreasing unneeded regulation and reducing impact fees on businesses in the city. I look forward to working with Mayor Miller to ensure the county and City of Fernandina Beach have an excellent relationship.”

He has been a problem solver who worked with the commission to help Fernandina Beach secure funding for storm water drainage during his time as a legislative aide. Joe is an honest, hardworking, every day ‘Joe’ who has the leadership skills to keep fighting for the average citizen in Nassau County.”
Joe Zimmerman handled constituent services for Nassau County, helping to facilitate meetings on important community issues between constituents and the Port of Fernandina and during his time as a legislative aide helped begin the process for the city that led to $900,000 in funding for storm-water drainage.
