FERNANDINA BEACH, FL (August, 2019) – Florida-based indie rock band, flipturn, announces their long-awaited single “Eleanor” to be released August 30th.  The forthcoming single follows the third national tour for the surf rock band, who have opened for nationally recognized acts like Saint Motel, Magic City Hippies and Japanese Breakfast.

“Eleanor” is the first single since flipturn’s sophomore EP, Citrona, whose release last spring received local and national recognition.  “Citrona is a polished, dynamic display of raw emotion and pure talent that leaves you craving more,” Pandora Music said of the EP.

With over 4 million streams on Spotify and sold out shows across the US under their belt, flipturn looks to branch out musically with their return to the recording studio. Lyrically, the song portrays the relevant feeling of self-doubt, and hiding behind false confidence when presented with the opportunities life has to offer. Between bittersweet guitar riffs and falling arpeggios, “Eleanor” builds to a satisfying rally call with a hook that stays with listeners long after the final beat fades.
