A public open house has been scheduled for Monday, March 6, 2017, from 5-7pm at City Hall to review the Phase II design plans for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) resurfacing project on 8th Street.
The purpose of this meeting will be to address citizen questions and receive comments on the preliminary design engineering as completed by FDOT in February, 2017. This will be an open house style meeting: no formal presentation will be provided. The Phase II plans can be accessed at www.fbfl.us/FDOTdesign.
The 8th Street improvements proposed under the preliminary design will be further refined by FDOT engineering over the next several months. It is expected that the next planning phase will be completed by July, 2017. The project construction is anticipated to begin in June, 2018.
