A small area of Fernandina Beach is without power after a portion of a large oak tree fell across Highland Street between North 15th and North 17th Streets. The oak ripped through power lines and tripped one or two transformer(s).
As of 1:00 p.m., an officer on duty reported Florida Public Utilities is on its way. Power is expected to be restored within two hours.
