Election Day is upon us! Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. The Fernandina Observer will provide up to the minute election night information shortly after 7:00 p.m. this evening.
According to Vicki Cannon, Nassau County Supervisor of Elections, “All Early Voting and over 99% of the Vote-by-Mail ballots will be posted on [the NCSOE] website immediately after 7 p.m. tomorrow night. The [various] precinct results will be posted as soon as possible thereafter but no later than 7:45 p.m. and then again at 8:30 p.m. until all precinct results have been reported.”

ID Required at the Polls
- Florida Driver’s License
- Florida ID Card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
- United States Passport
- Debit or Credit Card
- Military ID
- Student ID
- Retirement Center ID
- Neighborhood Association ID
- Veteran Health ID Card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs
- License to carry a concealed weapon or firearm issued pursuant to S.790.06
- Employee ID Card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the Federal Government, the state, a county or a municipality.
As of August 29, 12,002 voters (almost 20% of registered voters) have voted by mail or participated in early voting. There are 60,088 registered voters in Nassau County.
