On Saturday, January 20, area students participated in a City Streets 2 Student Athletes (CS2SA) Drug Free Pledge Signing Speed and Agility Camp, at the Charles Eugene Richo Field. According to the CS2SA, “The camp is coached entirely by community volunteers; including former NFL and collegiate athletes, law enforcement officers, teachers, local businessmen, and community leaders.”
Vice Mayor Len Kreger said the camp was supported by the Elm Street Little League. In attendance were community leaders and players from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
At the end of the camp, students signed a pledge, “Drug free, don’t try me.”
