Utility workers on the scene at Amelia Road around 10:00 a.m. Fallen trees and branches are causing some power outages on Amelia Island.

Although winds from tropical storm Hermine will continue throughout the morning, at this time Dale Martin, city manager of Fernandina Beach reports no significant damage and no unusual police activity as a result of tropical storm Hermine.

Early this morning, observers at main beach were seeing high tides and rough a rough sea. Electrical outages did occur on portions of Amelia Island.

Glad to hear the damage and inconvenience appears to be minimal. Hopefully it will be another 10 years or more before another one comes by.
