Care Centers of Nassau has served the developmentally disabled population since 1975. It is a non-profit intermediate care facility for the developmentally disabled in Fernandina Beach.
Care Centers operates its own day program and has a residential program with nursing care 24/7, physical therapy and occupational therapy services and other services, and is looking for volunteers.
Care Centers of Nassau will be hosting an open house Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the day care center. It will be an informational session on volunteering and on programs that might help the family of disabled members. The day care program is at 95146 Hendricks Rd., Fernandina Beach.
