Barnabas Center was awarded for its Excellence in Worksite Wellness (bronze level) by the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council (FCWWC) during their 9th annual luncheon held on May 10th. Lynne Starling, Barnabas’ Volunteer Coordinator, oversees the agency’s Wellness Program and was delighted to accept the award for the not for profit agency. “Besides the obvious benefits of trying to achieve one’s fitness goals, this program also serves to bring the staff together to achieve a collective goal, to be one of the area’s healthiest companies!”

The FCWWC is an initiative of Healthy Jacksonville 2020. The mission of the Council is to improve the health of the First Coast community by sharing resources and providing guidance through our member businesses. This group was charged with impacting community health through the business community and to create a platform for local businesses to be recognized for excellence in worksite wellness.
