Nassau County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested an armed robbery suspect Tuesday night in Callahan.
The suspect entered the Fortune Palace at 542755 US-1 in Callahan wearing a green colored mask, ball cap, white long-sleeve shirt and jeans. The suspect stated to the attendant that this was a robbery and to give her the money. The suspect was holding something under her shirt, which appeared to be a weapon. After receiving cash, the suspect fled south on US-1 on a bicycle. When NCSO deputies arrived they found foot prints and bicycle tire tracks at the scene, which were photographed.
Deputies located a female subject matching the description of the suspect at 342586 US-1 in Callahan. During the search of the female, a green colored mask was discovered in the shower of her residence, as well as cash rolled up in a towel. A pair of shoes was also located outside her residence that matched the shoe prints found at the scene. After questioning the suspect, she admitted to the robbery.
Samantha Marie Edwards, 31 from Callahan, was arrested for armed robbery and booked into the Nassau County Jail.
