Demolition of a 1950’s red bricked educational building is underway at the First Presbyterian Church on North 6th Street to make way for a new 6,400 square foot building. Once completed the building will house a nursery, class/meeting rooms, and a multipurpose/choir room. Construction is expected to be completed by October.
Even though we have been part of the planing for this event, there is always something sad about the removal of a building that has served us so well for so long. However, we take comfort from knowing that very shortly we shall have a wonderful new place in which to continue our study and worship.
