“I’m hungry!” Photo courtesy of Carollee Adams

Photographers Note: A juvenile Royal Tern still wants it’s parent to feed it. The Juvie starts squawking at the parent unceasing for 5 minutes or more, following it everywhere. This parent eventually flew out to the ocean.  The juvenile followed still hollering!

Editor’s Note: We thank Carollee for this wonderful nature photograph.  We think it is one of our favorite photos submitted by Carollee.  In 1991, Carollee Adams moved to Fernandina Beach from Naples, Florida.  She was a member of the opening team when the Ritz Carlton came to Amelia Island. Four years ago, Carollee retired from the Ritz after 28 years as a massage therapist. She now spends her retirement years honing her skills as a photographer, a poetry writer, and painter.
